Build a Business You Love
& a Legacy You Can Be Proud of
Acropolis Publishing helps creator entrepreneurs build businesses that support their lives & families, not the other way around.
Finding Calm
Admist the Chaos
From your personal life to starting a business to the broader world around us, chaos is everywhere. I founded Acropolis Publishing to help entrepreneurial parents step back, find stillness within the noise, and, from that place of calm, craft a real business that puts you and your family first. (Oh, and I do this while talking about ancient Greek history and mythology. Get ready for a lot of Trojan War references…)
Read the only newsletter that talks about building a sustainable, high-impact brand through stories from the Bronze Age.

The Path of Intellectual Entrepreneurship
Acropolis Publishing provides content, coaching, and community to help intellectual entrepreneurs create high-impact businesses that are built to last decades, not just the next quarter. Most business coaches and gurus try to force you into their system or structure for doing things, to build your business their way. Instead, I start with you and your vision, then help you build from the ground up. A common theme through all of my content and coaching is to play your own game, not someone else’s.
My objective is to equip and empower you to do just that. I do this by creating frameworks drawn from history, providing you with the structure to craft your vision. Think of Acropolis Publishing like brand building meets ancient Greek history. My approach to helping you build the business of your dreams takes a slower, more thoughtful pace, one that optimizes for resilience and leverage to create long term sustainable impact. This is the path of intellectual entrepreneurship.
Who am I?
Hi, I’m Josh. I’m an ex-ad agency copywriter and content manager with a specialization in brand positioning.
After years of studying, observing, and working with brands, I’m firmly convinced that most marketers, business owners, and executives completely fail to understand what a “brand” actually is.
This leads to “marketing” being delegated to a spreadsheet full of tactics and “branding” to slapping a pretty design on the whole thing and calling it a day. I also have a Masters degree in military history and am a geopolitics junkie.
My research in these two fields has left me with the following lessons:
Studying geopolitics reveals the extreme lack of sustainability in our systems and institutions - resulting in a lack of sustainability in our personal lives, finances, and careers. I believe entrepreneurship is a partial answer to this: built correctly, your business can make you resilient against a turbulent environment.
Studying history shows that the chaos and uncertainty we face today are a normal part of the human experience. That our world’s story is one of fluctuating patterns - sometimes they move up, and sometimes down, but they always follow a rhythm. And those who are adaptable can not only survive downturns, but can also uncover opportunities to thrive in the midst of turmoil.
All of which to say, I firmly believe that crafting a sustainable brand - built on a solid foundation - can give you that resilience and adaptability so crucial to thriving, while allowing you to positively impact others in the process.
